Research Assistant University of Hull - Project title: ‘Graphene and Carbon Nanotubes Growth by Chemical Vapour Deposition’, funded by the Nuffield Foundation.
- Assisted in building a chemical vapour deposition tube for the production of graphene and carbon nanotubes in the Physics Department. Designed and made the circuit boards for the gas controller circuits which controlled the flow of hydrogen, argon and methane gas through the furnace. Gained a CREST Gold Award.

- Developing and testing a new technique for decelerating beams of diatomic polar molecules using periodic magnetic fields and optical pumping to achieve cold, slow, and transversely confined molecular beams for loading into traps. Trapped molecules have applications in quantum computing and simulation, and in experiments to test aspects of fundamental physics.
